Timpani Software Joins Visual Studio Industry Partners Program

May 4, 2006 / Colorado Springs, CO

Timpani Software announced its membership in the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partners (VSIP) program. Membership in the program will give Timpani early access to Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Team System, and Team Foundation Server software and technical information. In addition, Timpani will have high-level access to the Microsoft development team. Timpani Software intends to use its VSIP membership benefits to tightly integrate its build management software, BuildBeat, with Microsoft's Visual Studio product suite, including Team System and Team Foundation Server.

BuildBeat reduces time and trials for software integration, improves team communication, and increases project visibility and software quality. "We are pleased to be a member of the VSIP program and look forward to working with the Microsoft team," said Kevin Dietz, the founder and CEO of Timpani Software. "Being able to tightly integrate with Microsoft's development tools will be of great benefit to Visual Studio users."

Of all the integration opportunities, Timpani Software is particularly focused on integrating with Microsoft's recently released Team Foundation Server software. As the first phase of its integration efforts, Timpani intends to integrate with the Team Foundation Version Control component, allowing Team Foundation users to achieve advanced build management features such as continuous integration, distributed building, and live building monitoring. Beyond version control integration, the company plans to tightly integrate and extend other Team Foundation components, such as integrating with the work item tracking component of Team Foundation Server, and also extending Team Foundation Build.
